Each of our practitioners specializes in an area unique to them, allowing us to offer a wide range of support to our clients. As we continue to work together to find the most effective and practical solutions, we’re proud to welcome practicum students in supervision and other licensed providers. Our strong team of psychologists has become a powerful resource to our community by delivering in-person and remote assessments to local and international clients. Our services will soon be offered to several locations nation-wide.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Psychological and Psychoeducational Evaluations - Our Process:</image:title>
<image:caption>Parents of children or adults being evaluated are emailed an intake form ahead of time to complete. During the first appointment, the parent and the child meet with the evaluator to complete a thorough online interview, lasting approximately one hour. During the second and third appointments, the evaluation process continues in the office. The child or adult is evaluated with a cognitive/processing measure to determining intellectual functioning. We will also assess attention and memory skills, depending on the concern. This frequently requires around 1.5-2 hours. For some children, we conduct direct observation with the ADOS-2, or a thorough parent interview with the ADI-R. If a psychoeducational evaluation is being sought out, a separate appointment(s) is needed for academic testing. This can take anywhere from 1.5-2 hours. The parents will fill out clinical rating questionnaires needed to determine their child’s overall functioning from home or in our clinic. Teachers will also be sent rating forms to complete (with your permission). Approximately 3 weeks later, the parent will receive the psychological report by email and asked to read it. Any questions or concerns will be addressed during the feedback session to review the results and the recommendations.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Psychological and Psychoeducational Evaluations - Our Results:</image:title>
<image:caption>10-15 hours of data analysis and reporting to provide comprehensive and informative results. 1- hour of testing feedback to explain results and recommendations. Recommendations made for Section 504 accommodations or suggestions for an individualized education plan (IEP) for more effective teaching based on weaknesses discovered. Detailed recommendations for parents to enhance the child's learning and overcome present and future difficulties. When applicable, specific recommendations are made to the college board to ensure the student is equipped to learn in the best way possible (may take up to 7 weeks to be approved after submission).</image:caption>

<image:title>Our Team - Yuvalie Ramallo, Psy.D. I earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from Albizu University in Miami, Florida, and I am fluent in both English and Spanish. As part of my training, I completed practicum placements in a nonprofit community mental health center, a pediatric oncology department, and several private practices, including Healthy Minds Psychology, where I gained experience in psychological assessment. I later completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Child and Family Guidance Center in Northridge, California, where I specialized in outpatient therapy and psychological evaluations for children and adolescents from diverse and underserved communities. My training included conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations as well as providing individual, group, and family therapy. During this time, I also became a certified Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) therapist.</image:title>
<image:caption>Early in my doctoral program, I discovered a strong passion for conducting psychological assessments, particularly in the area of neurodevelopmental disorders. <image:title>Our Team - Dr. Ariadna Montero, Psy.D.</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a dedicated bilingual clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Florida and Puerto Rico. I graduated in 2007 with a doctorate in psychology from Carlos Albizu University. I have over 20 years of experience in treating children, adolescents and adults. I have dedicated my professional life to assisting individuals and families to achieve emotional well-being by using inner strengths and emotional resources. I like to use a collaborative approach, along with strategies from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Approach, Positive Discipline and Play Therapy. My current focus is on the assessment of childhood disorders, mainly ADHD and autism. I conduct the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale (ADOS). I also enjoy supervising students from the CAU graduate program. Being born and studying in Cuba prompted me to develop a repertoire of behaviors to adapt to a challenging and changing environment. Everything I learned, I now use to assist others in understanding and managing their reality. I enjoy good music, reading, and deep conversation. <image:caption>I wanted to become a psychologist since I was younger. Today, I am a licensed psychologist in Florida, having graduated in 2010 with a doctorate in clinical psychology and a concentration in child psychology from Carlos Albizu University. I have always been passionate about assessment, and I pursued several practicums at the Veteran Affairs and the University of Miami Mailman Center for Child Development (MMCD). I also completed an internship at the Institute for Child and Family Health and a fellowship at MMCD with assessment and neurology-related experience. I started my solo practice in 2012, providing therapy and psychological evaluations primarily to young children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Currently, my focus is on the assessment of childhood behavioral and neurological disorders, primarily ADHD and autism. I evaluate development, learning, emotions, and behaviors. I love to help children receive the care and services they deserve. I also enjoy teaching. I supervise graduate students at Carlos Albizu University (CAU) in the doctoral program and collaborate with CAU as an external practicum site for supervision. When I’m not helping my patients, I enjoy spending time with my three daughters and husband, exercising, or boating in the Florida Keys.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a master’s degree in counseling in 2009. I specialize in working with youth and family services as a family therapist and co-parenting counselor. I completed a nine-month specialization course in infant mental health for children ages 0 to 5. My work utilizes components of child-parent psychotherapy (CPP) to help parents strengthen the relationship with their children. I also employ techniques from the circle of trust modality of therapy, which also helps establish a strong attachment relationship between children and their loved ones. I have worked with children who are victims of domestic violence and neglect and their families to educate parents on effective parenting skills and the possible effects of domestic violence. I have also worked with pregnant women and new mothers dealing with a variety of issues, including stressors of pregnancy, anxiety, postpartum depression, domestic violence and relationship problems. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy (ITP) in my therapeutic approaches.
